Nearly four dozen inns dotting the U.S. and beyond are showcasing the uniqueness of their gardens via a trio of interactive eBooks with beautiful floral imagery, garden videos, and discounts for road trippers
New York (July 21, 2020)— Inns, beds and breakfast and boutique hotels across the country are encouraging people to stop and smell the roses – or at very least, flip through them.
Forty-one inns have pulled together to create a set of eBooks that one can download for free inspiration, a virtual pick-me-up, or an in-person discount.
“After being cooped up for months on end, there’s never been a better time to get outdoors and enjoy nature,” said Glenda Cahill, owner and innkeeper of the Wildberry Lodge in Leicester, North Carolina. The lodge offers Instagram-worthy mountain views, and plenty of space to wander and see more birds and wildlife than people.
From a vegetable garden terrace overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains to landscaped waterfalls in the Midwest, to grape-covered vines overlooking the Alps, the books cover a vast amount of terrain.
Arranged as a trio and dividing the participating inns into three regions, each book tells the story of the various gardens with hundreds of links to stunning visuals and steep discounts. The regions include: Northeast region, Southern region, and West, Midwest & Abroad (Canada and Italy).
“There’s a beauty and simplicity in gardens that’s reassuring, especially in times like these,” said Nancy Evangelisto, owner and innkeeper of the Summer Creek Inn in Rapid City, South Dakota. Nancy and her husband, Daniel, built a custom waterfall on their property, which is so popular, foodies are known to drive 6-hours from Denver, Colorado, to enjoy one of the inn’s signatures breakfasts beside it.

Like many businesses, the independent lodging industry has suffered unprecedented financial hardships due to COVID-19. Property owners have had to contend with the loss of income as well as the anxiousness over the loss of their home – since many B&B owners live on the premises too.
All of the participating properties are part of STILL INN BUSINESS, a preparedness campaign that launched this spring to help innkeepers stay visible in travel media and sustain industry optimism. The pro bono campaign has upward of 300 members.
